Center On Deafness Inland Empire provide services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Late Deafened Community in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties (Inland Empire Counties). We provide direct communication access in 7 categories of services: Advocacy Assistance, Communication Assistance, Document Translation, Peer Counseling, Independent Living Skills, Employment Assistance, Information & Referral and Community Education.

If the award is granted, CODIE will establish collaboration with Domestic Violation / Sexual Assault agencies in Inland Empire Counties to provide support with direct communication access using American Sign Language (ASL) for the deaf and hard of hearing/ late deafened victims. The proposed program will also include Domestic Violence / Anger Management Classes, Parenting Class, Community Education, Workshops / Trainings, Counseling and Advocacy. With this grant, it will impact the victims, their families and communities in healthier relationship.

The summary of history about Center On Deafness Inland Empire (CODIE) was in the summer of 1994, GLAD-IC was established to provide quality services to the Inland Empire's Deaf community. At the beginning of the year of 1997, the name was changed from GLAD-IC to CODIE. Today CODIE directly serves clients within the Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
CODIE is a member of the California Coalition of Agencies serving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. (CCASDHH)
