About Voices of Health

Joseph P. outside of Broward Partnership

The power of local. The power of you.

Voices of Health (VOH) is a competition that celebrates local non-profit organizations that are working to address social determinants of health in the communities where we live, work and play. Aetna’s objective is to empower these organizations to continue their work and expand access to their services to the community, while also validating the work that they are doing.

Voices of Health celebrates and validates the work of each participating non-profit by awarding $1,000 sponsorship grants to each organization. Participating organizations are given the opportunity to win a grand prize.

Aetna Voices of Health Legacy

In April 2011, Aetna announced a contribution of $1,275,000 to the building of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial. Aetna Voices of Health is part of Aetna’s ongoing commemoration of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This national competition recognizes non-profits that are working in their communities to encourage racial and ethnic equality in health care, while also addressing social determinants of health. We are honoring local heroes who embody the values of Dr. King and are aligned with Aetna’s mission to promote access to health care for all.
